Race for the cure
I will be up bright and early at 5 am tomorrow morning. Hubby, Son and I are going to participate in the Susan G. Komen race for the cure. Cancer has deeply effected my family on so many levels. We have suffered loss as well as triumphed through recoveries. I race to not only protect my future, but I race to honor those who can no longer fight, because I never veiw it as lost battle. Please keep me and my family in your thoughts tomorrow, as well as the millions that will be walking beside me and the millions looking down cheering us on from heaven.
If you would like to donate, my link is on my side bar.
Thank you.
Love,
Elnora

Ellie, I am so proud of you!
My daughter and I took part in a mother/daughter heart/stroke walk back in September. What wonderful events to get our kids involved with, and yes, hopefully we will one day see a cure for all these horrible diseases.
Good Luck tomorrow, I will kepp you in my heart and thoughts

hey PS. you missed out on me and Jays LOST rehashing...we are doing it every Thurs. am
I will have to chek that out...man am I a fan!!!
My "adopted" sisters all ran in the one here last Saturday. They did it in honor of their grandmother, a charming, funny lady who I had the pleasure of knowing as well.
They started out with a goal of $500, and they ended up raising almost $2,000.
Good luck with your run...
Well, it's been months -- months! -- since I commented over here! Looks you had a makeover! Hope you're doing well!

rwa, thank you for your donation. It really means alot to me. The walk was fantastic. When I get pics I will put them up on flicker for people to see. I will tell you, I pulled up to the stadium and immediately started crying. I was happy to see pink shirts *survivors* but at the same time, thought that my cousin and my aunt should be wearing a pink shirt and walking beside me. Two amazing women taken from us in their prime. I felt a rush of emotion and realized that this will be an everlasting cause in my life. I will do everything I can to continue the fight against ALL cancers until there is a cure.
I am glad to help - as little as it was, and I'm happy to hear it went well.
Hey El...what do you think of the pics of my house all done up for Halloween...I thought I sent you pics!!!
