Queation:
Are Obama's ideas of "Sharing the Wealth" ... socialist?
Let's look at this a bit.
Socialism is defined "social and economic doctrine that calls for public rather than private ownership or control of property and natural resources. According to the socialist view, individuals do not live or work in isolation but live in cooperation with one another. Furthermore, everything that people produce is in some sense a social product, and everyone who contributes to the production of a good is entitled to a share in it. Society as a whole, therefore, should own or at least control property for the benefit of all its members."
So are McCains statements entirely true? I think it's middle ground, as much as anything else is in this campaign. That is what pisses me off so much, everything is so middle and there is no clear definition on either side as to where each stands. Too much is left up to compromising (or flip flop)
I am not for over taxing the poor, and I am not for over taxing the rich. I don't think that $250,000 is rich either. Not when you are taxed higher, have to provide insurance for every employee, taxed on self employment, taxed on goods still in stock, then taxed on the things you buy, places you live...ect. tax tax tax.
why can't everyone be taxed equally? would we generate the same income?
Maybe that is a niave thought...or ignorant. I will leave that up to you to correct me.
lets have a discussion this time folks... I know you are here b/c my 12,000 hits on my hidden tracker say so.
