Got my Sticker!!! Then went to Starbucks

Got my sticker, Got my coffee!
Starbucks was giving free coffee if you said you voted today.

What I didn't bargain for was the girl behind the register trying to figure out who I voted for. Isn't it etiquitte not to ask that?

It was annoying b/c that is what she was doing to every customer...
"you look like a McCain girl to me" and she squinted trying to figure out who I voted for as if she were reading my mind. I was a bit annoyed and looked back and said, "Actually didn't know who I was voting for till I voted, but I will keep that to myself." and walked away.

It's the first time I was actually protective of my privacy concerning voting.

That leads me to believe you voted differently than you have in the past. Should I congratulate you as an official "Obama Mama?" :P

You know Ben....
I am going to admit it...
I voted for Barack Obama...
Then, I hit back on the screen and voted for McCain.

Deep down I knew McCain wasn't going to win, but there were a few things in the back of my mind that my dad said to me when he went off on one of his political tyrants.

I felt though, when I left the polling station, disappointed in myself. I felt I made the wrong decision.

But I was very happy that he won.
I thought I was so sure of myself when I went to vote.

This election was a doozy, and so confusing.

It's over though, and now the real fun can begin.

hopefully before I get skewered for my vote...it will be taken in consideration how much I really cared about this election and made every effort to explore the issues.

Meh, I'm not sure how to respond. A vote for mccain wouldn't have bothered me if you truly believed in him, but it sounds like that isn't the case.

As for your father's rants, he knows that Palin didn't know Africa was a continent, right? That woulda been all I needed to hear. :)

Either way, I'm glad this election is over. I look forward to how the president-elect will shape our country over the next four years.

meh... I knew I would disappoint you.

Something in me says that both have their pros and cons.

I hope that Obama is the President that he promised to be... I am happy with the outcome of the election.

It seems that my vote didn't make or break it. :)

Maryland almost always votes democratic.

I should of just written our names on the ballot Ben.

That would be fun though wouldn't it.
