The New Daycare Experience This morning
So...starting new daycare all over again. You think it's hard on the babies...shoot...it was gut wrenching on me.
I thought that the hardest was going to be for Emma, she is a baby and doesn't recognise anyone and can't verbalize how she is feeling. I thought of how distraught she might be....I bawled my eyes out leaving.
BUT THEN...I went to take Tyler to preschool for the first time today. He was convinced that he was going back to daycare and argued that he he didn't want to go to preschool. So I took him to the grocery store and we bought cookies. I told him that bringing cookies to his new friends would be fun. Then I got him all excited to go.
Not even 5 minutes into him being there some kid tackles Tyler to the floor, hits him and then puts him in a choke hold. We had to pry him off my son. Tyler sat back holding his neck with a look of desperation and hurt on his face. I tried not to make it an overwhelming thing for Tyler and re directed him to some other children playing house. I know the other kid is only 3, but I felt like kicking him in the head. Good thing we don't react to our first impluses....I will go with the 2nd impulse...meeting his mother in the parking lot and kicking her in the head all while screaming "How bout' teaching your kid some fucking manners!"
Okay, I won't do that either, but it sounded cool.
I checked in on both my children today and they are both adjusting well.

Gotta hand it to her
Hillary was good with the quick whit and cheap shot.
In yesterdays debocile..I mean debate...she said about Obama's campaign & speeches:
"If your candidacy is going to be about words then they should be your own words," she said. "...Lifting whole passages from someone else's speeches is not change you can believe in, it's change you can Xerox."

Spanish for Your Nanny
Ha Ha Ha... I needed a laugh after what happened with my kids last week..
This is how it all went down.. My nanny/daycare calls :
"Elnora, I was hoping you could talk to your son"
"Why"
"He hit Morgan in the head with a rock"
"Oh my God, Why did he do that"
"Morgan had a toy Tyler wanted"
"Did Tyler have the toy first?"
"Yes and Morgan snatched the toy from Tyler, so he hit her with a rock"
My problem with this conversation was that when presented to me, it was as if my son had instigated the fight between him and Morgan, when in fact, it was Morgan who started it with Tyler. Tyler doesn't know that hitting with a rock is worse than pushing the kid back. He doesn't understand the severity of his action. Anything he could do to get the toy back would have been all the same to him. So my next question was... Where was Emma? Inside with me, she says. So I am assuming that she was watching the kids play outside through the window. So there was no adult there to immediately stop the argument before it escalated. My next question was Why were the kids outside Sharlene? It is 22 degrees out there and with the wind it feels like 13 degrees. That is below freezing, and against MD Childcare law. I was unaware of that she says again.
HEY DUMBASS...IT'S COMMON SENSE. WOULD YOU PUT YOUR DOG OUTSIDE IN BELOW FREEZING WEATHER?
So I say to Sharlene that I want the main daycare provider, Nicky, to call me when she is available to do so, because she is on maternity leave, but she is there b/c she has the lisence to run the daycare so she supervises. Then I get a call from Sharlene Nicky is out of town and I can't get in touch with her.
It was the last straw, I felt that after the past couple months of inconsistancy, and bullshit, my kids were not recieving adequate care.
I used to trust Nicky with my kids life, and now...I don't even know her anymore. As of this week my children have new care.

Steroids + Baseball + a bunch of Liars = $15 million
The Mitchell Report... Who cares?
My question is this, if there was no set guideline, why does it matter who did steroids in 1984 or when ever...you are talking about more than 20.
So the league sets a standard now, and they follow it, why can't it be that simple. When we are battling a possible rescession, failing housing market, neglected military...why is this country's leaders content on spending 15 million + dollars on this crap?
I watched the hearing...this is what I got out of it...
You lied...no you did...when I was lying, but not now...your still lying...no I'm not...yes you are...Even though I was caught in lies...I'm suing for defemation now...You sir were my hero...now your not...
Clemens should have stood up and called them all assholes for this entire ordeal.
This man has worked all his life and been successful, at the end of the day ...he wants to have a good name, now b/c of this bullshit, his name is forever tarnished.
This man has worked all his life and been successful, at the end of the day ...he wants to have a good name, now b/c of this bullshit, his name is forever tarnished.
So Mitchell report...my question to you is...Where is the inquiry on the RedSox team, 'oh I forgot' there is a vested interest there...so it's okay to sweep that under the carpet.
I like the way Representative Dan Burtan put it in an excerpt of this artice:
After more than four hours, doubts still remained about the trustworthiness of both Clemens and McNamee. The committee chairman, Democratic Rep. Henry Waxman of California, said McNamee, a former New York City police officer, lied seven years ago during an investigation of a possible rape. Waxman also singled out Clemens.
“We have found conflicts and inconsistencies in Mr. Clemens’ account. During his deposition, he made statements that we know are untrue,” Waxman said.
But McNamee had also lied to federal investigators and withheld evidence about steroid use in the past. After ticking off several of those instances — “Is that a lie?” — and hearing McNamee confirm each one, Republican Rep. Dan Burton of Indiana tossed his hands in frustration and said, “Gee whiz! Are you kidding me?

not voting
yup...I have decided that I am not voting in the primary. My vote can't go to who I want. Both choices are shitty, so it doesn't matter. My standing in a two hour line. won't help anything.
I will wait until the final election day.

My vote doesn't count
If I was a Democrat..maybe. I don't get why if I am registered Republican, I have to vote Republican in the primary.
It seems McCain is the clear front runner for the Republican party, but it's a race between Hillary and Obama.
I am going to place my little ol Romney vote in the bucket (Damn that Huckleberry person).
I hate that we don't get to participate in Super Tuesday. We vote a week later...What the F*** is up with that?
Everyone should vote the same damn day..then everyone can feel their vote mattered.
So now that my Romney is way behind in the delegate vote...I want to vote for Obama... but according to the rules...I can't.

Super Tuesday! My Final Plea to Democrats
All kidding aside....
Democrats, If you have to vote for somebody...Vote Obama!!! If you didn't see the headlines over the weekend, Hillary has now stated that under her 'universal' health plan, she might require employers to garnish the wages of those that don't participate in a health plan and can afford it. Unless you know everyone individually, and the needs of each individual family in this country, there is no way to know if one could afford it. My brother in law has 4 chilren. While is paycheck is a nice one, he doesn't recieve child support and his company doesn't pay for family healthcare, only the individual. So $666 comes from each of his paychecks to cover health care. That is $17316 per year. I don't even think they have that many medical bills.
But b/c he has a nice paycheck, Hillary seems to think he can afford that.
Teired insurance is not the answer, insurance reform is.
Affordable insurance all across the board, not just for those that can't afford it.
I only keep my job b/c I need health care. My husband and Brother in law, work at the same place. Sooo. for us it's a no brainer, we could pay $6864 under my plan of $17316 under his. But under Hillary for Prez...I could quit my job and mooch off of the tax system. Forget about the $18000 in daycare a year. Sure things would be tight...but hey...President Hillary will take care of my health insurance. And if you think there aren't others out there seriously contemplating that idea, you are mistaken. You think our country has financial issues now...elect Hillary and then you will see what financial issues really are.
Not to mention this....her first agenda is to meet world dictators...how many world 'dictators' will sit down with a woman. Not the most pleasant thing to say coming from a woman, but it's the truth.
Hillary wants to do away with our childcare credits, and our child income tax credits. My God!! I would be poor!
B/c of our double income, I will be taxed higher, lose my credits, still pay health care...
I think if it came to it....Nic we might be neighbors, seriously!!!
Go Mitt Romney (sorry woozie, I know you think he is a douche)
Please don't vote McCain.. he is as much as a liar as the Clinton's are...thing is..he keeps lying even when he's been caught lying. If you want another Bush..go for McCain.
Romney is Honest. Romeny is younger people (still a little old though) he is conservative.
Obama is Honest. Obama is younger people, fresh ideas. He is conservative on some issues, but not all.
