“I am, as I've said, merely competent. But in an age of incompetence, that makes me extraordinary.”- Billy Joel

Today I was blamed for someone else's incompetence and that person thought they could pull rank, I am not playing that game.

This person didn't even have the courtesy to look at me when having a conversation with me, as if I was beneath him somehow.

As I got a taste of his personality two days ago, he got a taste of mine today.

Did you pinch a loaf in his coffee and then stir it in real good? That's what I would have done. Nothing said love like E. coli.

I just plainly let him know that I am not his bitch.
If that is one thing that I have learned through the years, no man will ever treat me like his bitch again. I don't tolerate disrespect.

Although...pinching a loaf in someone's coffee sounds like an idea. I will keep that in mind the next time b/c everyone knows I make shitty coffee, so they won't know the difference!

A quote closely related to the Billy Joel saying: In the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. I run into over-promoted idiots all the time. I call them Vice-Presidents of Tuesday Afternoon, as they seem to have no meaningful duties except to try to pass off empty tasks to people with better things to do.

Sometimes you just have to let it go.

The change of work weighs heavy on my heart. I find that I am in a place where I am considered a dime a dozen, not an asset.

It's okay. the day will soon be over.
