Famous Quote edition 1

Wow, I think I like this guy now
The Terminator star, 60, told the British edition of GQ magazine that he had not taken drugs, even though he has acknowledged using marijuana in the 1970s and was shown smoking a joint in the 1977 documentary, Pumping Iron. What DID he say exactly that has the political world reeling? [Marijuana] is not a drug, it's a leaf.

Ha ha ha... I think that is hillarious! I never used to care about the Marijuana debate...I used to smoke it. Big deal, right? Why not make it legal...righ?
Naaah. I think it is one of those things that needs to stay illegal. #1 it's more fun that way...just kidding. All kidding aside though...do you know how many people smoke cigarettes while driving, and you think drunk driving is bad...wait until people are toking it up with some mary jane while sitting behind the wheel.

Man...I have officially crossed the 'old person' line.

I guess the Governator doesn't know that cocaine is a leaf also and that heroin is a flower.

But cocaine and heroin are chemical DERIVATIVES of the plants-not the plant itself. Big differece.

It's not a drug?

No, it just alters your mind - and your senses.

Brilliant.

see..I think it should be legal...then it could be controlled more.

Think of all the tax dollars and such that could be made off of it...could go towards better education and health care.
Regulated or not...people are going to do it...might as well see something come about from it.

Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), the main psychoactive substance found in the Cannabis plant, has analgesic effects, and can also cause relaxation and appetite stimulation. Other effects include: euphoria, disorientation, altered space-time perception, alteration of visual, auditory, and olfactory senses, and fatigue.
So .. driving under its influence can be dangerous. Just like drinking & driving, smoking (pot) & driving are not a good mix.
It does seem likely that its use while driving a vehicle would increase if it were legalized. By how much .. who knows? But, if it did become legal, it should be treated the same as alcohol as regards purchasing and driving under its influence.

Ah, if they made it legal, I'd have to say there's no way in the world it could be regulated.

One reason it'll never be legal.

As far as what Craig said.....that makes total sense. If it impairs driving, it should be illegal to use it while doing so.
