Luciano Pavarotti died today.I remember being three years old sitting in front of the television mesmerized by his voice. I have been in love with his voice for as long as I can remember.
I had hoped to see him perform once in this lifetime, but like many others, had to settle for television appearances and cd's.
Goodbye Luciano, the friend I never knew, but had the pleasure of knowing.

I think, like Caruso before him, Pavorotti drew people to opera that had never been before. It was such a pleasure to hear him sing. Heaven just got a new first tenor for the choir.
Pavarotti's golden tenor voice will be missed.
