Mud slingin' aint it grand!
To me, both are too inexperienced to be President. I am not sure if the race and gender cards have anything to do with the popularity of these canidates. If I had to trust anyone more, it would definately be Obama..I think that Hillary has an agenda of her own goals and not the goals of the country as a whole. But Obama just doesn't have the experience. Then again, I hate the fact that the majority of politicians are old farts with their heads not only up their own asses, but back in the years that they were born ..say the 20's. (okay that's a stretch, but you get my point)
That is why I would like to see Obama and Romney go head to head. As Hillary put it...I can't believe I am quoting her...the presidential slot is for the 'good ol boys club'. Though she was using the gender card in her statement, I see it slightly different but still true.
We need youth, fresh minds that think somewhat independently of their party, action takers, someone with balls, someone with integrity, someone with hope, someone with brains.
Stop the mudslinging...it's ruining the image you paid millions of dollars for.
UPDATE: just saw some good ol Republican mudlingin on the drudge report

Ever heard the song...
RWA...I thought of you when I thought of this.
What would I say if I could write a letter to me....
Always listen to your mother's advise, she knows more than you think. And one day, you will need her more than you will ever need anyone in your life.
Try to get along with your Step Father, he's gonna turn out pretty cool, and you'll see he will always be there for you.
Spend a little more time letting your grandmother know how much you love her because you will miss her more than you will ever know.
Spend more time with your girlfriends, they will get you through the toughest times of your life.
Stay sweet, stay generous, but stick up for yourself a bit more.
Cherish the moments you have with your long time boyfriend, but try to steal a bit of time for yourself. When you think it's time...say it's over...it will save you alot of heart ache in the end.
Please stay away from drugs, they take a chunk of your life away.
Tim Pillard...some of your best friends don't make the best of lovers. Let the 18 year friendship stay just that.
Love your pup Montana, he is the best dog you will ever have.
It's okay to trust, but try not to be so gullible
That car ride on the fourth of July, Tell Jason not to park by the barn.(it will save you two some embarrassment)
Go to every party that you can sneak away too. They will be some great stories to tell.

Try to do things with Christopher more, that is a relationship you might miss in the future.
Let Jonathan know that one day, he is gonna be a hero...and you will always think of him as one amazing person.

E to the M to the Nasty games we play
Another game we like to play... Mute and Adlib. We like to use our TIVO for this game. When we see something funny ...we like to rewind..mute the sound and add our own words to the person talking. This can be quite creative and fun!

Martin Luther King
It pisses me off. If some people weren't so narrow minded... they would see that History is primarily White History in the United States. We have written the books since the beginning of this country. Caucasians were notorious for holding down those of different races. We can say that we are a country built from immigration, which is true, to an extent.
The black civil rights movement wasn't so long ago. We can declare the the emancipation proclamation was a big civil rights movement brought about by Lincoln, but if you really look at the times, I think it was more of a tactic of war rather than a personal belief that swayed the President. Lincoln was an awesome man, and when I say awesome, I truly mean that in it's definition, But Martin Luther King...that is a different story.
He had a dream. A dream that he wanted not just blacks to to envision, but a dream that he wanted all races to embrace. Black History, whether some whites want to admit it or not, is still relatively new. Blacks were not written into books like whites were. So I say.... why not? What is wrong with embracing a culture, embracing a people, embracing a history?
Now with that said... I would like to see other races that the United States has forgotten about that are a foundation of this country. I would like to see more about American Indians, I would like to see more about women's suffrage...ect. I don't want to have to take my kids to D.C. so that they can learn there. I would like each month to represent something different and as equally important. I want our schools and our country to embrace different cultures, embrace different people and embrace different history.
I would hope that one day everyone would feel that the history of all people were as equally important.

GO GIANTS!!!!
I say that until next week when I will get to watch Greenbay kick your ass!
My two favorite teams going head to head, going to be a killer game... Hubby and I on opposite sides of the couch...someone is going to get a "boooya" to the face!
would you pay?
I don't like to go to a concert and sit 400 rows back, I could just as easily not pay $100 a pop and watch them from the comforts of my own home.
The biggest concert I went to and paid the most to see was Bruce Springsteen. I sat 12 rows back. I was in awe.. I decided from that point on, I would never pay for anything but floor seats.
Before Bruce, I had seen Enrique Iglesias 2 rows back, and Britney Spears front row.
Here is my point...Of all the concerts I have seen...big names too... Britney Spears was the only concert where the artist Lip Sang the entire thing, even slow songs. This past weekend Hillary Duff got caught lip Singing..and we all remember when Ashlee Simpson was caught on Saturday night live.
When did that become the norm? When was it decided that it was alright for your fans to camp out overnight for tix, or pay hundreds from snipers online, or even the stars ridiculous prices...only to watch a pre-recorded voice?
If I hear that a singer lip sings their concerts..... I will not pay to see them.

A story worth writing about...
Just 20 minutes from my home is Walkersville. In Walkersville, residents are trying to block a Muslim community from buying a The Historical Nicodimus Farm. Hood College owned the farm that was donated to them by a family that owned it for 150 years. They sold it to an investor "Moxley" who immediately sought to destroy the farm and build hundreds of homes on it. He has been blocked doing so for 10 years by the Walkersville zoning committee and town residents. Now he has a contract on the property that has been listed for a year. A group of Muslims based out of Maryland, would like to build a Mosque like retreit center there, where 10,000 people would be able to meet at one time. Nicodemus Farm is a part of the Antietem Battlefield. The first major battle on northern soil during the cival war...and they want to build a Muslim mosque there??? Do the research and you will find, it's a very important peice of land.
This is what a Mosque looks like:
Click here to see Nicodemus farm, I can't paste it b/c it is copywrite protected http://www.dotphoto.com/go.asp?l=fnpphotos&AID=4905818&IID=173624623
This is an aireal picture of Walkersville Maryland:
Now if you look at it, seems like Walkersville is a rural area full of farming, I don't think a Mosque that would house up to 10,000 people at a time would fit in with the community surroundings. Plus the farm they want to build on is zoned agricultural, and historical. It is believed to be the home of John Walker, the first settler.
The mosque they want to build will take up an acre. That is one hell of a big building. Then they want to set up baseball fields, soccer fields, a gymnasium and parking lots. That is one hell of alot of lights for this small town area.
The question is the following; will the Muslim center affect the 13 zoning factors including traffic conditions, property values, noise, historic landmarks, orderly growth and the ‘‘effect of such use upon the peaceful enjoyment of people in their homes.”

Resolution Time...
To be a better wife and a better mother. This year has been a rough one. Surviving a tough mortgage market. Going through one of the roughest pregnancies and having a beautiful baby. Having a two/three year old. Adapting. Remodeling. Becoming an Aunt again...suffering loss.
I never blogged about it, but my best friend buried 3 children this year. Earlier in the year she gave birth to twin girls that died an hour after birth. Then 4 months ago she gave birth to a boy that died from a brain tumor the same day. During my one pregnancy she was pregnant twice. She had two funerals for three children while trying to raise her 4 year old. We, with another friend of ours, were having babies together. We, suffered her loss. She taught me that my children and my husband come first in everything. In 2008 I would like to be a better wife and a more attentive, patient mother to my son. I feel that since my daughter was born, I haven't given Tyler my time as I should. I haven't found that balance yet, I suppose. But I will.
And on a lighter side...family reunion is in 6 months...so I have 6 months to lose 30 pounds. But I resolved this year that I would not resolve to lose weight... :)
