Do you believe in ghosts?

So here it is, 12am or so and I am home with the 2 kids by myself. I have to pump and so I go downstairs and put the baby monitor on. I thought I heard Emma, so I listened more closely. I hear heavy breathing in the monitor. It's not Emma, the monitor is clear across the room. I get so freaked out I turned the thing off and went into the bedroom to pump there. I didn't do that b4 b/c the breast pump is so loud.

Could it of been white noise?

Hubby and I always joke, that no one knows where the previous owners to this house went. People assumed they moved to Germany. But we still get all thier mail, we even got thier tickets to the world cup last year. We joke that they are buried in the backyard....maybe they are....
Shit, now I am really freaked out.

I believe that in some cases, there is some sort of energy left behind certain individuals that die young or die violent deaths. There is quite a bit of data that suggests this. I don't know whether to refer to them as ghosts, poltergeists or just energy but there is something out there, I think. However, I also think that it can do you no harm outside of scaring the bejesus out of you.

I hope they wouldn'nt hurt me.

but if you believe in Jesus and heaven and all that jazz.. wouldn't people have to believe in Satan and demons and spirits and stuff?
So they could potentionally hurt you. But I think you have to give them access to do so.

I go along with Just Dave. Data, both scientific and anecdotal, seems to verify the presence of spirits in various places. Seems to be more common in older houses. I had a friend who was visited by a spirit that spoke to her a few years before she passed away. And, I'm certain that I was one of the very few she told that story to.
Anyway, it seems these spirits are more of an annoyance than a threat.

My wife has an aunt that lives in Fort Worth, TX. Her house has had all sorts of phenomena going on in and around it. This aunt is a little goofy so I did not give it a lot of credence but there was one incident that gave me pause.

Another aunt, very level headed and no nonsense kind of person, lives across the street. She was looking out the window and saw a white German Shepard hanging around the side of the goofy aunt's house. She thought it was strange because goofy aunt didn't have a dog. Suddenly, the dog started running. It hit the side of the house, then disappeared. Gives me goose bumps.

I am VERY open to the idea. But you know me...I am all for that kind of stuff. Infact, when we are in Vegas ( leave tomorrow) I am going to try to take the GIRL on a "Haunted Vegas Tour". I'll let you know my thoughts on it when I return.

In the meantime, don't let the ghostbugs bite!!! :)

yes you have to tell me about the haunted tour. Take alot of pics of nothing, and maybe a ghost will appear when you develop them

Have a good week...if memory serves correctly it should be your anniversary in a couple days.
Happy Happy!!

Our plane leaves in 5 hours... I am just packing and killing time.

I believe that ghosts are actually imprints of people that are showing through the fabric of time. We humans like to think time is linear, all organized nice and neat in an orderly sequence of events. But if you consider time to be traveling through US instead of us traveling through it, then all things in all times are happening right now, we're just not able to see these other events because time hasn't moved us to that point yet (future) or has already moved through us (past). What we think of as ghosts would merely be images from other points flickering through ripples in time. Weird, huh?
