my 5th grade paper

What do you want to be when you grow up?

My answer... a business tycoon with a corner office in a highrise building located in the heart of Ney York, buying up small business's to eliminate competition for corporate offices.

My teacher wasn't thrilled. My sister wanted to be a lawyer and own a cat named mercedes.

I can't remember.

Had you just watched "Wall Street" when you wrote yours?

I was picked on alot when I was a kid. I think it was a power thing.

It's funny too, b/c I really was, and still am, a very compassionate person.

I wanted to either be a teacher or own a farm yard that could house all the animals I saved...like a hobby farm.

I still like to save animals and see them treated well and in a different way, I do teach children, ( more mentor) so it seems I am not far off the mark!

I wanted to be a federal prosecutor who locked away business tycoons who had high-rise corner offices in the heart of New York and were buying up small businesses to eliminate competition, in direct violation of the Sherman Act.

Hey now... I was just a kid. Come on.

Nicole, I still say that when I retire, I would like to get a nice piece of land and rescue animals and try to find homes for them. It is such a novel idea and one I think I would surely find rewarding and pleasurable.
Doggies are so sweet!

After reading a book about Bill Pickett, I wanted to be a cowboy. I don't think I gave up on that dream until high school. Go ahead and laugh it up.....

Spending a lot of my life in far Northwest Texas, I have known many real cowboys. They were universally decent people who lived a simple life and would give you the shirt off their backs. So being a cowboy was not a bad ambition but it is almost impossible to find a real cowboy today.

I wanted to be a soldier until I became one. Not to dis our military but reality and perception are very different things.
