It's time to start thinking about them...no matter how much you hate it!

So it is that time of year again...time to start thinking about our New Year's Resolutions. I wonder how the resolution all got started. Was it "New Year, Fresh Start" thinking...if that were the case, how come at the first of the year...all the same shit from the following year seems to follow close behind...or add to my behind. I always say "I am going to lose weight this year" truth is, the average person packs on 10 pds a year, and this year..we are hoping to have another baby. SO I doubt that I will lose any weight. So my resolutions.. Paint the house, and get the basement finish....oops...I think I just came up with my husbands resolutions...!!! Funny how a ton of house repairs seem to happen when your prego and can't lift a finger to help! I do have a resolution for my son..get rid of the ninny. It will be tough, but hopefully he will be occupado with all the toys he will get over the holiday.(hopefully) So what about myself? Well I am going to try to have more patience and show the ones around me just how much they mean to me. Also, over the last year, if I take a long good look at myself, I was quite the nag. I don't want to be a nag hag..so I will try to spare my hubby's hearing and learn to bite my tounge a little more frequently. Other than that... I have no clue!
What about you?

New Year's resolutions are a waste of time. We were at the bar on one New Year's Eve, and a local TV station had a reporter there asking people about their resolutions.

I am holding a big, cold beer, and I say on TV, "My resolution is to cut back on my drinking."

Well, genius me. My parents' MINISTER saw it and asked them about it.

That was the end of New Year's resolutions for me.

I don't think they are a waste of time if they are goals that are attainable. I think American society has become lazy. It's easier to get take out than cook dinner. It's easier to search the house for the remote instead of getting up to change the channel. We work most our lives then savor the moments we don't have to work by endulgence. That is why I tried to make a resolution this year that is attainable. Being not so much of a nag sounds good to me...it makes me look pretty...then you don't notice the resolution that failed last year..losing 10 lbs.

I don't make them either...I think that it is a nice concept, but then LIFE happens and people get so busy and then feel like failures.
But I do commend those that try. I think as humans we should always try to grow and better ourselves, no matter what time of the year it happens to be.

alright...I am REALLY starting to think it is a conspiracy!!!

I am now unable to post at RWA's and this new poster called ICE...at least here, I could select an alternative name...no options for THAT over at those two's!!!
I am NOT upgrading to beta until they drag me kicking and screaming...but I did sign up for the damned google account and it should let me now.

Merry F*cking HO HO HO!!! :)

Hi Ellie...
I'm the ICE that nic was telling you about... she suggested I come over and take a look. I, also am using the beta version which is causing me so many problems. Only been 2 days but no one is able to post right now unless they have a google account. It wont even allow "other" or "anonymous"
New is not always better -apparently.
I'll check your site out more often now that I've visited.

Oh, I agree with Nic regarding news years resolutions... I don't bother because I never would follow through and then I'd only have to live with the feeling of failure. No Good!

: )
