Do you believe?

(link to article ->) UFO sightings bring town to a standstill
"A crowd of 100 stunned stargazers brought a town centre to a standstill when five mysterious UFOs were spotted hovering in the sky.
Drinkers spilled out of pubs, motorists stopped to gawp and camera phones were aimed upwards as the five orbs, in a seeming formation, hovered above Stratford-Upon-Avon for half an hour.
The unidentified flying objects lit up the otherwise clear night sky above Shakespeare's birthplace in Warwickshire on Saturday. "

So apparently people are thinking that Extraterrestrials exist. Aliens... oooooooh oooooooooh

Just kidding. I really wonder if there are aliens out there. Can we really think that we are alone in the universe. There are so many solar systems out there, why isn't it possible to think that there is other life out there that has some how managed to be light years smarter than us and has figured out how to come here.
How many of you believe it.

I just hope that if there are aliens they are nothing like the ones in:
The Series "V"
Independence Day
Alien
The Sign
War of the Worlds

I want them to be purple and fuzzy and happy go lucky... kinda like Barney :)

I don't know about purple and fuzzy...lol

who is to say that we are the superior race... for all we know there may be another species out there that is smarter then mankind. Or perhaps, a planet of humans just like us.

Yes, that is true Nic, but who's to say they wouldn't be blood sucking lizards posing as humans?
Then you have the blood sucking lizards mating with the humans and you get half human half alien lizard...ooh that would be a mess. That would be more than interracial..it would be intergalactical!
Did you ever watch the series V?

I'm not sure if there are beings out there with intelligence matching or exceeding ours (if we actually have any intelligence on this world, some days I wonder about us...), but why would you want ANYTHING to be like Barney? I hate that show/character, and I don't hate many things!! ;)

LOL It was a joke....

would you rather them be like the Wiggles....Seasame Street?

Come on..they are all fun loving !

I did watch the show V, I LOVED it!!!
What did they name the half and halfer...Elizabeth or something?
I remember back in the 80's watching it how shocking it was when the baby's lizard tongue shot out. People were "traumatized"!!! lol

so tame compared to nowadays.

I could so handle all the aliens looking like Joaquin Phoenix...Beam Me Up Joaquin...I'd even consent to a probing...winkwink*
LOL

I think that the universe is far too vast for us to suppose that we are the only life forms in it. At the same time, the universe is so vast that it would be possible for billions of other life forms to exist and for us never to have contact since they are thousands of light years away. Hell, I barely know my neighbors.

I would feel bad for them
if they were happy & fuzzy
because the first thing
humans would do
is try to dissect them..

And if they are like the aliens
in any of those movies
we're all screwed

so it's probably best
that we never meet

I like to think other life forms exist.

I'm not sure if we would actually recognise them with any of our five senses though... they may be hovering around us, and we have no idea!!

Jen...you made me cry. That is so sad. But I think that it would be true.

Two things...

1) If the aliens are like the ones from V, I sure hope Ham Tyler is still around.

2) Are you familiar with Riley Martin? If you want to hear a very colorful ufo abductee, you should give this guy a listen. He has his own weekly show on Howard Stern's Sirius channels, and also appears on Howard's show from time to time. If you know how to do bit torrent, I'll point you to a killer recent appearance.

Jason..thanks for coming by. I really do enjoy your blog! I have taken politics from mine for a short bit.

I do not know Riley Martin, but I will look him up.

That V series scared the bgeesies outta me. But man was it good!

Riley Martin is the funniest ufo guy of them all. Think of a guy who looks like an aged Jimi Hendrix and talks like a foul mouthed drunken Foghorn Leghorn about his UFO experiences and tries to hawk his books and his hand drawn tickets to the Beaavian mothership.

I'm trying to move away from being such a politics junkie, but it's a hard habit to break. If I could quit smoking, I should be able to quit obsessing about politics, but then again I still do have a smoke sometimes.
